Don't just be thankful

Happy November everyone. This is a great time of the year for so many reasons. One of the best things about this time of the year is that so many people reflect back on their lives and year to give thanks for where they are at. This reflection is something that helps people put things in perspective and move forward for the rest of the year. While I am fully supportive of this thought and movement I am here to tell you that you should do more than just be thankful this year.

This year my challenge to all my social media followers has been to give other people reasons to be thankful. Most of us have so many different reasons we are blessed. This is awesome but there are still plenty of people in the world who do not have that luxury. Sony challenge to everyone is to change that. Let’s start making the world a better place one person or action at a time.

Now I am not saying go out there start a whole new nonprofit organization or something (unless that’s a dream of yours then go after it). All it takes to change someone’s day or year around is a simple gesture. Give that family member or friend that you know has been struggling a call, take them to coffee, or just reach out to them. You would be surprised on how much a little gesture like that can make a huge difference in someone’s life. Go through that closet and donate all those old clothes that you don’t wear anymore. That old ski jacket that hasn’t been outside in two years could prevent someone from freezing. It does not take much to make the world a better place. It just will not happen unless you take action to make it so.

Continue to be thankful for everything you have in your life. Continue to reflect upon the actions of people who love you and support you. There is nothing wrong with this at all. But take all those feelings and emotions and use them as motivation to pay it forward. This is the time of the year where we can really make a difference. Let’s end 2018 strong and have a great 2019.

As always if you need help or have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to let me know. I would love to help you out. Be kind, be safe and make good choices. Until next time everyone.
